The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), one of the nation's largest public housing authorities, is seeking skilled and dependable General Maintenance Workers to help maintain safe, quality, and affordable housing for our residents.
What You'll Do:
- Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair furnaces and hot water tanks.
- Install and repair doors, windows, cabinets, fixtures, switches, and outlets.
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy.
- Maintain property curb appeal and safe living environments.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Provide outstanding customer service to residents.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred.
- Knowledge of building maintenance practices, tools, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and perform a variety of repairs.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
